While relaxing here Wednesday night, the phone rang..it was 8:30, not very late at all.
So I answered....
"Hello"
"Mary?"
Oh dear, it's Momma. What could possibly be wrong? For a 98 year old lady who goes to bed with the chickens, 8:30 is late.
"Hello Momma, what's wrong?"
"I'm just laying here and I have a thought."
She has a thought or maybe a dream?
"You do, what is it?"
"Mary, do you remember potted meat?"
She woke up to tell me about potted meat? Oh my! :~)
"Yes Momma, I remember potted meat. What about it?"
"Well, I haven't had any potted meat in 12 years!"
FYI...that's how long she's live in the nursing home.
"Momma, would you like for me to bring you some potted meat?"
"Ohhhh, that would be so good! Is everyone okay?'
"Yes Momma, everyone is okay"
"Well as long as we all are healthy we'll be just fine. Good Night"
"Good Night Momma"
Today I'm taking Momma some potted meat and crackers!
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise - that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life. ~Ephesians 6:1-3
