Saving Grace of Jesus

While attending an AA  meeting recently  a woman stood up and said, “Hi, my name’s __________ and I’m a recovering alcoholic-addict.” Everyone in the circle responded in unison, “Hi ___________.” Then the speaker said, “I just want to thank Jesus, because when I couldn’t pick myself up off the ground, He bent over and scooped me up and carried me His-self!” I clapped and amen-ed enthusiastically along with everybody else and then I started crying. Because I can remember seasons when I didn’t have the energy or belief to haul my raggedy heart up one more of life’s steep hills and our Redeemer carried me.

How cool would it be if we started worship each Sunday with, “Hi my name’s Lisa and I’m a sinner whose only hope is in the saving grace of Jesus”?

There have been so many seasons in my life when Christ carried me.

Touching My Heart Tuesday

I love when God speaks to my heart!

redemption of those who are

God's possession -

to the praise of His glory.

Mission Monday

Your calendar may not include a missions

trip, but it can include a missions and

ministry project.

Involve your friends, family

or Sunday School class and

find ways to support your community.

Have a food drive and support

your local food bank.

Have a cake sale and donate

proceeds to a woman's shelter.

Support worthy community

activities that help the poor

meet basic needs.

...AND...

Something we all can do is

~PRAY~

Pray for our missionaries in

the field and pray for those

at home who dedicate themselves

to helping others and

showing them

God's Love.

Just a few ideas!!!
