It was a wonderful Thanksgiving at my house, family and friends filled the air with good conversation and lots of laughter. The youngest at the table was only 4 mos old, our little Destin (Desi Doodle) and the oldest , my mom, who is 96 yrs young. We totaled 27 people, so needless to say the house was full.
This is entire family except for one great granddaughter who is with her Dad for the holiday. Tammy and Sean are really hidden in the back row, but if you look real close you'll see them. Hey guys, love you ! !
This Granny is plenty tired, it was such a good day but now....it's time to get in front of the TV and just rest.
Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving
The day is almost done and I've accomplished almost everything I set out to do this morning. It did take all day, but it's done....well almost....Mince Meat Pie is in the oven and the aroma is making the house smell like the holidays. Still might make a squash casserole, can't decide. It's been really hard to "get in the mood" for Thanksgiving when it's 80 degrees outside. The cold weather is so late this year and it seems to be getting later each year.
Preparing for such a feast can be very overwhelming, maybe I'm just slowing down. All the girls are bringing a dish so it's not like I've had to do it all alone, but still a lot of work. I look for 21 people to be at my table this year. That is so wonderful!
So, when all is said and done I absolutely love the holidays. The preparations and hard work fade to the back of my mind as I look at all the beautiful faces around me. I wouldn't have it any other way. Family and friends and fellowship, such a treasure.
Remember Psalm 100, Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving.
Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving Day,
Mary

It's So Nice To Be Home This Morning
Hello,
Here we are another day closer to Thanksgiving. I bet old Turkey Tom is getting pretty nervous. :o)
It is so nice to be home this morning. Have certainly enjoyed my "quiet time" and now it's time to get up and get busy. The family of dust bunnies that live under my couch are getting evicted today! I'll probably let them return after the holidays....
I am so happy that Matt will be home today, I think all the grandkids, except Candice and her family, will be here for Thanksgiving. I am so looking forward to new pictures. Camera is charged and ready to go.

Hmmm...so peaceful in the house this morning, maybe I'll have one more cup of coffee. "o)
Until next time,
Mary
